Painting
With the installation of a fully automated painting line, COS.PEL. has completed the internalization of all post-production processes.
The use of advanced technologies allows the company to maintain high standards of quality and sustainability. Every stage of our painting process is designed to minimize environmental impact while maximizing the effectiveness and aesthetic finish of the final product, reaffirming our commitment to innovation and ecological responsibility.
The painting steps consists of:
- CO₂ cleaning
- Flaming
- Painting
- Drying and air treatment
Painting at COS.PEL.
CO₂ cleaning
The surface preparation begins with an innovative cleaning process using a blend of compressed air and CO₂. This technique removes all contaminants from the surface, preparing it for the next stages and ensuring perfect adhesion of the paint.
Flaming
A methane flame is used to oxidize the surface of the piece. This thermal treatment significantly improves the adhesion of the paint, creating a more robust and durable base for the subsequent finishing layers.
Painting
An anthropomorphic robot paints the surface. The process starts with a primer layer that serves as the base, followed by the actual enamel application, giving the product the desired color and aesthetic properties.
Drying and air treatment
The final step in the painting process is drying, during which the product is placed in an kiln drying chamber that dries the paint using a heated air recycling system. Simultaneously, a post-combustion unit treats the used air, eliminating pollutants and ensuring that the operation is both effective and environmentally sustainable.
